I have been working in food and beverage industry as a barista since I was 16. This job has taught me three skills that I believe will play an important role. First is customer service. I am tasked daily to talk to customers in order to keep them happy and satisfied with their drinks and other things. Secondly, I am an efficient multitasker. Working for a college coffeeshop, I have to constantly make multiple drinks and multitask different jobs to make sure the shift runs efficiently and effectively. Lastly, I have amazing leadership skills. I am tasked often to teach my fellow coworkers new drinks and how to do different tasks such as closing the shop and other tasks. I believe this skills would make me a valid employee at any company.
