Looking back, I remember when customizing my MySpace profile was the most important thing to me. So like many others, I would go in and play around with the HTML & CSS and think I was a GENIUS. I'm talking Einstein level here! A few years later, I took a Computer Science course in high school with the most passionate teacher ever, Ms. Saverine, who had a way of making coding fun & interesting. But as much as I enjoyed it, I somehow let it fall by the wayside. I once heard a quote that said "it may take a while but what's meant for you will always find its way to you", and 12 years later, coding found me again. This time I dove in headfirst. I took a leap of faith and moved to New Orleans to attend a coding bootcamp and never looked back. There were times I questioned my decision and wanted to throw in the towel, times I was on the verge of an emotional breakdown, and times it didn’t seem worth it…it’s been a hell of a journey to say the least. Now, I look back with a smile, grateful that I didn’t give up and excited about developing into the programming genius my MySpace profile made me feel like.
