About Tearle Eide

Hello, my name is Tearle. I have spent twenty plus years in computers. Current and past titles/roles IT Director, project manager, network engineer, system admin, systems engineer, marketing director. Education in this field came from hands on training by working with my father who, developed Windows NT and worked countless projects for the DOD as contractor. With his guidance I quickly acquired clients and worked as a computer support consultant in a variety of industries. A highlight of my early career in IT was working for Boeing, supporting most of their buildings/factories in the Seattle area as well as being the youngest person work there at that time. Rolls in which I enjoy, are those that have to do with systems integration. The last 15 years of my IT career, have been spent jumping into computer systems and networks left behind, which little or no information, sometimes I am left with the passwords, most times not. In 2014 I started working in the XCTC program, in Boise at OTC. Working in netops starting as net config. I quickly moved up in nettops working as a FAE and RF. After nine missions I have a vast understand of network operations and the equipment used as well as the XCTC program as a whole. When not on XCTC missions I worked as an IT director for an Idaho school district. A highlight of this job was a project with Apple implementing, Ipads into the class room for Apples connect Ed program. Apple presented and idea of how it should work. I was able to make it work as it was presented. During the winter months I worked as and IT director for a small Idaho ski area as well as managed lift and mountain operations. Aspects of IT I enjoy are building a working computer system-network, virtualization and system integration. Outside of IT stuff I enjoy, snowboarding, racing enduro mountain bikes, restoring of classic trucks and swap motors. I am an autodidact gas and diesel mechanic as well as a fabricator/welder. I have enjoyed my career in computers, the last few years I have setup networks and computer systems in rugged and remote locations. Nothing makes me happier then, creating and maintaining a working computer system and network. It seems like this has been lost, I have observed most IT people and companies who do not want to deliver a working product and believe it is job security when computers/networks do not work and they are hounded all the time to fix it. That is not how I work. I have no problems being a leader and spear heading projects and troubleshooting.
