About Teba Alkarwe

After graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA, I decided to further my education at Kennesaw State University as an Industrial Engineer major. While in my first semester of college, I began working as an Engineering intern at Pond & Company while also taking a full load of rigorous courses. This helped me develop my time management skills while also helping me achieve some first-hand experience in my field of studies. This internship exposed me to many different fields of engineering and gave me experience in Excel, Word, and Smartsheet. In September 2022, I was accepted to be a Student Research Scholar at KSU's industrial engineering research department. There, I work with two brilliant professors on finding ways to promote blood donations in young adults from the ages of 18-39. This research allows me to gain statistical knowledge and the ability to find inefficiencies in blood donation rallies. In my second semester of freshman year, I began work at McKenney's Inc. as a Construction Project Management Co-op. In this job, I helped manage the construction of the Intuitive Surgical Building by analyzing any inefficiencies in the job, managing crew and construction, analyzing costs of the project, conducting and holding three week look-ahead, and collaborating with my team in order to be able to construct this site. I was accepted to Georgia Tech and will now be continuing my education in Industrial and Systems Engineering there.
