About Ted Doran

January of 2018 I was promoted to the possition of Assistant Project Manager with in the Operations and Maintenance Division of Fairfax County Governments Facilities managment Department. I am currently reaponsible for repairs and preventive maintenance for Fairfax's Gates and Bay Doors. Managing Contracts and implementing processes for the most efficiant and practical ways to limit down time and promote safety. As of January 30th I was Promoted to The position of General Building Maintenance Worker II after only 14 months working for the county. Over a year ago I made a career move and decided to end my job with Blair Inc. and start a career with Fairfax County as a Building Maintenance Carpenter. My strongest skills reside in cabinetry, carpentry, Tig/Mig Welding and also CNC router table design and fabrication. I have had formal training and am certified in Alpha Cam Software, CPR, scaffolding, and OSHA 10. I also have been busy with many side projects building one off customs under the name of Roaring Boar Creations. Such as Picture frames, shelves, benches, display cases and cabinets.My background includes work in technical theatre as a technical director traveling the country in charge of a crew form 8 to 13 techs as well as local crews. My major focus was in set construction, rigging, and audio design. In my former position at Blair I was tasked with the production and installation of displays. I have a great deal of practical know how. I have a great deal of pride in my work, I am self motivated and very reliable. My people skills are well suited to a customer oriented environment. I have had many years of experience being in charge of teams in order to complete projects on time and above expectations.
