About Ted Dunlap

I'm a client focused counselor and advocate. With a business and legal background, I help lead organizations, understanding and communicating the application of law and regulations on successful operations. Today, I serve in an appointed role as the Senior Advisor to NTSB Vice Chairman Bruce Landsberg. I count myself fortunate to work in an agency I have long respected, helping advance the purest mission possible: to make all transportation modes safer. Before joining the NTSB, I held the position of General Counsel and Director of Client Relations at an engineering firm that specialized in conducting forensic investigations and consulted on transportation related matters. Previously, I was a litigator in private practice, concentrating on civil litigation and coverage matters, assisting a wide variety of clients with maritime, aviation, product liability, general liability, commercial and construction issues. Before embarking on my legal career, a bit later than some, I gained extensive business experience in the marine industry, eventually directing the content and e-commerce merchandising for a major brick and mortar retailer's network of marine oriented websites. Taken together, my legal, customer service and business management experience combine for a unique background that allows me to fully understand, and help develop effective solutions to the complex issues facing an organization.
