About Ted Fournier

Ted is a fitness business owner and entrepreneur based in Connecticut. He owns several fitness studios throughout Chicagoland and is proficient at growing and operating personal training and group training studios. Ted's experience includes start ups and selling businesses including gyms and restaurants.Ted grew up in Bristol, CT and holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut. Ted received multiple traumatic injuries in a 2007 car accident and has had more than ten surgeries to get back on track. These life experiences resulted in a dedication to health and entrepreneurship. Ted left his career in Commercial Banking (2006-2012) to pursue business ownership and, since 2015, he has owned stakes in several Orange Shoe Personal Fitness Chicagoland studios (Andersonville, 737 N Michigan, Park Ridge). Focusing on customization and client retention, his team offers in person and virtual wellness services including Personal Training, Group Training, Nutrition Counseling and Corporate Wellness. Ted utilizes his financial background, lessons of perseverance, and fervor for fun to lead his team and customers to success. In 2019, Ted's business was recognized with a Visionary Award for being in the top 25%, as measured by appointment bookings, for all businesses utilizing MindBody booking software. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic tearing apart the fitness industry, Ted led his business to a 3.5% year over year revenue increase in 2020 and hasn't looked back since.
