Ted Hall is an entrepreneur and business leader with deep experience in agriculture, wine, specialty foods, food service, consumer products, and retailing. He is a frequent panelist and speaker on sustainable farming practices, especially on the science and economics of organic farming.Ted served as President & CEO of Long Meadow Ranch for 35 years until succeeded by his son, Chris, in 2023. LMR is an innovative group of family-owned companies that operate farming, ranching, winemaking, restaurant and hospitality businesses. LMR produces an array of products, including grapes and ultra-premium wine, olives and extra virgin olive oil, grass-fed beef and lamb, fruits, and vegetables, using diversified, organic and sustainable farming methods. The businesses have farming operations in northern California on more than 2500 acres in Napa, Marin, Mendocino and Humboldt counties and include wine estates in the Napa Valley and in Anderson Valley and a 4-acre wine, food & hospitality destination featuring the restaurant, Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch, in St. Helena, CA.He is a former senior partner of McKinsey & Company where he was a member of the board of directors (Shareholders' Committee) and shared worldwide leadership of the Firm.
