About Ted Knudsen

As a software developer, my job is more than just coding and programming. My job is about making things - code, programs or systems - better. I’ve had to learn a lot to make things better for the companies I’ve worked for. From the public sector to the private sector, my skills in application development, network administration, database management, and disaster recovery have been a key part of improving services, internal operations, and business results. Most recently with Qulliq Energy Corporation, I was a key player in improving their internal systems including in-house software applications, core intranet, as well as specific financial, operations, and human resources modules. Working with limited technical and programming resources off the beaten path in Nunavut was an exceptional and thrilling challenge, one where my key business insights and technical abilities made the difference in operations by giving senior staff the tools, data, and reporting they need to improve services. My previous successes with Gemma Communications and the Ontario Public Service (Office of the Public Guardian & Trustee, Ministry of the Attorney General) gave me the solid foundation in developing the tools, systems, and technical support application to make business and government more effective.
