About Ted Shaw

Hello! I am an Analyst with over seven years of research and investment experience. As a quick background, I double majored in finance and economics at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT and more recently, obtained my CFA charter. I have worked at two investment firms: Lapides Asset Management and Diamant Asset Managemet. While a member of the investment team at Lapides, I managed a portion of the portfolio, monitored current holdings, and identified new investment ideas. To support my investment actions, I conducted fundamental research and analysis using various sources, such as SEC filings, company presentations, earnings calls, sell-side reports, and expert interviews. I also met with management teams of public companies to ask critical questions and evaluate their business strategies and prospects. As a part of the investment team, I engaged in open discussion with our portfolio manager, research team, and trader about investment ideas and actions. I leveraged my investment research, analytical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality research reports and recommendations. At the end of 2023, Lapides closed down its operations and I soon after joined Diamant Asset Management. At Diamant, I utilize my research and analysis background to help manage client portfolios. This involves research and pitching new ideas, staying up to speed on current investments, as well as assessing overall asset allocation. I love the faced paced world of financial markets and look forward to continue learning everyday.
