My name is Ted Wallis and I am an social entrepreneur, technologist and sustainability professional. My passion is creating environmentally friendly business solutions that add value to consumers and businesses, alike. I am the Founder and CEO of Green GrubBox, LLC, Seattle’s first and only commercial reusable container service. “We are on a mission to put an end to the expanding single-use food container waste issue that continues to challenge municipalities all over the country.“ "Why reusable containers in food service?" It reduces waste, lowers carbon emissions, preserves virgin materials and offers a much more sustainable option to the trash bin. Green GrubBox wants to make it easy for Eco-minded individuals to examine their consumption habits and make it easy to reduce single use packaging every time you eat out. Our containers can be washed and reused up to a thousand times before being recycled or repurposed AND it's the easiest pat on the back you’ve ever gotten. Green GrubBox was recently accepted in the Clean Tech Open West accelerator this month for the 2019 cohort. Ted received the 2018 Seattle Public Utilities Waste Reduction Award after successfully launching Green GrubBox in the Seattle Municipal Tower in October 2018. He has worked in technology for the last 7 years while achieving degrees in Network Engineering, Environmental Studies and a Master’s of Public Administration. He lives in Seattle with his lovely wife and two adorable children. Green GrubBox is for our kids and the generations that come after them.
