Safety is usually an afterthought, as individuals are moulded to believe nothing serious would ever occur. However, this is something organisations try to change by developing and instilling a culture based on Safety Principles, Processes, Values, and Objectives. With over ten years of experience within a senior safety role, I have not only witnessed and investigated a variety of incidents, but I have played a crucial part in conducting on-site audits, developing solutions, driving change, and implementing processes in order to achieve a Zero Harm.
