About Teddy Kim

Born and raised in a Korean immigrant family, I was taught that diligence and perseverance are the keys to success. While many choose their post-secondary education on their academic excellence in high school, I realized that my passions and strengths in non-academics would be a vital factor in determining my aptitude in any industry. Bringing up my pursuit for nursing to my Korean parents during my high school years was not an easy task. Their lack of knowledge of nurses, nursing in general, and high academic expectations caught them off guard when I gave them my post-secondary game plan back in 2012. Fast forward 10 years to the present, I have successfully completed my Bachelor's of Nursing degree in 2016, worked in various acute medical/surgical care units, medically volunteered with various local and international organizations, and is currently working in the frontlines as a Intensive Care Registered Nurse in a major city-centre hospital caring for critically ill patients. My passion is to continue building my story, and to spread hope and joy to people and communities that seek my assistance.
