About Teela Decker

When I pursued a Marketing degree at Penn State, HR wasn’t exactly what I had planned for my career, but now that I’ve been there, it turned out perfectly. After all, isn’t HR a lot about the 5 Ps in marketing? Product (People), Place (Role or Position), Promotion (Career advancement), Price (Comp and Benefits), and Profit (Company growth). As an HR professional, I take pride in ensuring my customer base, the employees, are engaged, developed, and retained. I operate on the belief that if you take care of your employees in any organization, growth and profitability will ultimately follow. I am an accomplished HR business partner, with broad experience in recruiting, unemployment hearings, labor audits, training, mentoring, and onboarding employees. I can manage multiple responsibilities and thrive on the diversity these experiences present. At DermOne, I developed and implemented a New Hire Orientation program and facilitated train-the-trainer sessions. I leveraged TINYpulse, an anonymous employee survey, to increase engagement, reward, and recognition for all colleagues at DermOne. I also worked as an HR business partner to support 30 board certified dermatologists and their clinical staff. At Teleflex, I led the HR shared services function, overseeing a department of seven employees who managed all data entry and customer service inquiries for the U.S. and Canada. At the same time, I served as a business partner for three corporate functions and was the sole employee relations resource for the Americas. My dynamic and outgoing personality attracts great talent and supports employee engagement and growth, ultimately contributing to the growth of my organization. Talent can be a company’s biggest investment. My goal is to make sure that both employees and the company are getting strong returns.
