About Tegan Patterson

Hello everyone! Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tegan and I am pursing a career in art! What kind of art do you ask? Well before I get to that part, let tell you first how I got to where I am today. My journey began as a young child utilizing crayons and color pencils on everything. When I say everything, I mean not just my coloring book, but on my barbies, the bathtub, and the biggest canvas of all. the living room walls! Unfortunately my mom did not understand my creative thinking in regards to using the walls as paper, and I am sure you can understand what happened next. Any-who, I dabbled in many different kinds of art techniques over the years by using…-Oil Pastels -Watercolor -Gouache I loved the feeling of creating paintings and artwork with a simple stroke of a brush or a pen. It gives me a sense of joy. But, as years have gone by, I knew I would have to test myself even further. So, I have been learning how to create art with specific computer programs-Adobe Photoshop -Gimp -Figma And now, I am currently enrolled in Google’s UX Design program on Coursera! Is there anything else I will be willing to learn? Of COURSE! How can you improve yourself if you stay in the same discipline for so long? To circle back around, I am continuing to pursue a career in art through UX Design (without having the urge to draw all over my living room walls).
