About Teigan Owers

As a paralegal at Coram Children's Legal Centre, I work with children and young people in matters involving the Children Act 1989. I have contributed significantly to numerous judicial review claims and applications to the Court of Appeal, drafting witness statements and ensuring compliance with the pre-action protocol and case management directions. I have developed strong knowledge in public law and civil procedure while obtaining positive outcomes for vulnerable clients. My passion for working with individuals and assisting them through turbulent circumstances motivated me to pursue a legal career. I completed the LPC with a distinction, averaging a grade of 76%, at BPP University, after obtaining a first-class honours degree in Law and Criminology at the University of Kent. I also gained valuable experience whilst studying as a student assistant at BPP Legal Advice Clinic, working pro bono with the family law team. I am an efficient and positive-minded professional, who combines logical and empathetic problem-solving with creativity and innovation. My ultimate goal is to become a solicitor.
