About Tej Patel

I am an aspiring medical professional with a strong commitment to addressing health disparities and improving access to healthcare for underserved communities. In the future, I plan on attending medical school while also pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) to combine clinical expertise with a broader understanding of public health policy.I am deeply passionate about involvement at the University of Florida and seek to make a positive impact on my community. I currently serve as the President of the Indian Students Association and the President of Solace, where I work to create a supportive and inclusive environment for students. I enjoy intertwining my passion for involvement with Public Health, especially through my future role as Program Coordinator for Control Flu, an initiative aimed at promoting flu prevention and vaccination. These leadership roles have allowed me to connect with diverse groups and make a difference through active engagement on campus.I am eager to continue fostering positive change in healthcare systems and addressing health inequities in medical school. Through my leadership roles, I continue to gain valuable experience in public health advocacy, student/academia engagement, and cultural programming, all of which shape my vision for a future in medicine and public health.
