Background
About Teja Dasari
As a Computer Science and Software Engineering student at UW Bothell, I’ve spent the past two years building a strong foundation in software development and AI/ML through both academic coursework and hands-on research. I’m skilled in languages like Java, Python, C++, and JavaScript, with additional experience in Next.js, HTML, and CSS. I’m particularly passionate about creating practical, real-world solutions in areas such as software development, cloud computing, and IT consulting. During my time at UW Bothell, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating on the iCare research project, which focuses on AI-driven mental healthcare solutions. This project is part of the DAIS group, led by Dr. Dong Si. As a collaborator, I helped lay out the guidelines for a system that measures user progress, providing valuable input on how to expand and improve the project for the future. This experience strengthened my technical skills in Next.js and broadened my understanding of how AI can be used to make a tangible difference in people’s lives. I thrive in environments where I can bring my social drive, enthusiasm, and problem-solving skills to the table. Whether I’m working independently or as part of a team, I approach challenges with a practical mindset, focusing on conflict management and resolution to ensure smooth and productive collaboration. I’ve learned how to balance professionalism with a sense of humor, which helps create a positive and motivating atmosphere in any project I’m involved in. Currently, I’m seeking internships in software development, AI/ML, cloud computing, and IT consulting. I’m especially interested in opportunities where I can apply my programming skills and technical knowledge while gaining more experience in problem-solving and delivering impactful solutions. I’m also open to exploring IT consulting roles, as they align with my longer-term goals of understanding how small IT businesses operate and thrive. I believe in continuous growth and personal development, and I’m always eager to learn new tools and technologies to expand my capabilities. My ability to adapt to different working styles—whether collaborative or independent—makes me a flexible and reliable contributor to any team or project. As I continue to pursue my career in tech, I’m excited to take on new challenges, make meaningful connections, and contribute to innovative solutions.
