About Tejas Shinde

I am currently working as Structural Engineer at MDA Space and responsible for vibration analysis (quasi-static, Sine, Random & Shock) and on-orbit load analysis. I was part of a team for Vibration testing on 40K shaker for Latching End Effector at protoflight level (Montreal). I support various programs for stick model build-up to check the launch locks, supporting with stiffness study and margins, bolt study, static and dynamic analysis. I worked with Michelin as a Product Integrity (FEA) Engineer, agricultural department (undercarriage and tracks) and was responsible for load cases, performing linear, non-linear, Fatigue life calculation and dynamic simulations to validate the structural strength of different products. Prior to that I was working as a QA test engineer with MAYA heat transfer technologies in structural team. I did my master’s in mechanical engineering from Concordia University, Montreal. Being a Teaching assistant for 3 semesters has helped me improve my flexibility, communication skills and creative thinking. With good problem-solving skills I stood 5th all over India in “Altair Optimization Competition” in 2012. I have professional experience in finite element analysis (FEA) and design (CAD) at MAHLE (one of the largest automotive suppliers in world) Research and Development team. I was responsible for 2D drawings, 3D concepts for acquisition phase, series design considering design for manufacturing and assembly, meshing of complex structures, deciding boundary conditions, multidisciplinary optimization, thermal analysis, linear static analysis, dynamic analysis, non-linear analysis. I have individually worked on many projects for optimization and product development. I have been awarded the “Best Employee of the Quarter” award couple of times on account of my versatile work. Apart from work, I stood second in “42nd National Competition for Young Managers” an event organized by “All India management association” in Kolkata region in 2016.
