About Temitope Odedeyi

Engineer, researcher, and educator passionate about applying advanced electronic and communication technologies to real-world challenges—especially in agriculture, food systems, and sustainability. I am a Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow at University College London (UCL), where I lead the THRIVE project. My work integrates AI, IoT, RF systems, and satellite data to develop practical tools for crop yield prediction, post-harvest quality assessment, and data-driven farming in sub-Saharan Africa. I also contribute to the EU-funded NESTLER project, a joint initiative between the EU and African member states promoting One Health–aligned, sustainable partnerships. NESTLER brings together interdisciplinary technological advances to monitor the well-being of plants, animals, and humans through a holistic, systems-based approach. Over the past 8+ years, I’ve contributed to cutting-edge research in: • Ultra-wideband amplifier design (InP, SiGe) • Photonic digital-to-analogue conversion (PhotoDAC) • Visible Light Communication (VLC) • RF-based sensors for crop quality evaluation I collaborate with global partners including IITA (Nigeria) and CSIR–CRI (Ghana), ensuring impact through field deployment, co-development, and research training.
