About Tena Nelson

I have worked in the Hospitality Industry in the Williamsburg VA area from 2001 until 2019. I was involved with the opening of the Greater Williamsburg Tourist Information Center in 2010 to assist tourists visiting the area and to promote business for the local attractions, restaurants, hotels and shops. I was a member on the Sports and Marketing Committee for Williamsburg VA on the Travel Industry Marketing Committee for the Chamber and Tourism Alliance. As a sales manager for HMP Hotels representing the Holiday Inn & Suites Gateway, Country Inn & Suites Historic, Homewood Suites by Hilton, Days Inn Williamsburg Colonial Historic, and the Holiday Inn Express Williamsburg North I covered sports, education, associations and leisure. I moved back to my home state of PA to be close to family in 2017 and worked remotely for HMP until COVID hit in 2020 and the travel industry pretty much stopped. I accepted a position in October of 2021 with Bethany Village as a front desk supervisor. I truly miss the travel industry, but I love working for this company. I feel challenged and appreciated on a daily basis.
