Teni-Ola Ogunjobi has been influential in areas of nonprofit communications, community engagement, volunteer management, intercultural education, grassroots development, business management and communications/journalism: broadcast news, print news, radio, television and scriptwriting. Teni-Ola earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/English from Howard University and a Master of Arts degree in Intercultural Relations from the University of the Pacific. As a part of her master's program, she lived and worked in West Africa (Mali & Senegal) with the Peace Corps. She also taught at bilingual and international schools for an additional two years in Senegal. She is the Founder of Intercultural Communities Project, an organization working to bridge, build, and sustain strong intercultural communities with youth and adults by providing intercultural education, cross-cultural exchange opportunities, community engagement, empowerment, and leadership skills. Teni-Ola has served the refugee and immigrant community as an AmeriCorps member and volunteer coordinator at a refugee resettlement agency and community engagement manager at a school for refugee girls. She was a Director for an afterschool initiative for refugee youth including alumni resource and support services, fundraising, volunteer management and community advocacy. Currently she heads communications and community outreach efforts for community based crisis relief nonprofit working to expand awareness of COVID-19 relief services in the state of Georgia. Her doctoral studies are in International Conflict Management with research forcused on decolonization and community mediation. Teni-Ola is committed to serving diverse communities in international and domestic settings and seeks difference in her personal and professional contexts. She values service and is passionate about inspiring the youth and adults to maximize their potential. In 2017, Teni-Ola was named a top 30 Under 30 Nonprofit Leader in Georgia. She hopes to gain knowledge about various cultures and apply her knowledge and skills in a career as an interculturalist, a nonprofit leader, an intercultural/global writer and a TV show creator/script writer and producer. Teni-Ola aspires to cultivate among worlds and fulfill her purpose.
