About Tenisha Manning

I'm Tenisha Manning, a breast cancer survivor who caught her own cancer twice when doctors missed it. The first time, I had brown discharge that led to a Stage 0 diagnosis. Three years later, when I was "graduated" from regular cancer care, I experienced symptoms that doctors attributed to IBS, GERD, and stress. Those symptoms were actually metastatic breast cancer. Today, I teach women the documentation strategies that saved my life. Through my book "The Unusual Breast Cancer Symptom Not On The List," my podcast "Unusual Symptom Unit," and speaking engagements, I help women navigate the gap between being declared "cured" and staying vigilant about their health. My professional background in analysis and documentation informs my approach to health advocacy, but my mission is personal: ensuring no woman faces dismissal when she knows something is wrong. I've spoken to thousands about documentation strategies and evidence-based advocacy. My work focuses on the SDI Documentation Strategy - teaching women to turn vague concerns into proof that medical teams cannot dismiss.
