About Teodora Bokonyi

Holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Wildlife Biology & Conservation and Bsc with Honours in Environmental Geography. I have worked in several environment related positions in the last few years: with the City of Edinburgh Council, East Lothian Council, Tetra Tech and Ramboll as a Tree health surveyor, a Seasonal Countryside Ranger, a Field Ecologist /Bat surveyor and Consultant Ecologist respectively. My work and educational experiences have included a wide range of ecological surveying activities and related desk based work. I conducted ecological surveys of freshwater and terrestrial habitats, Ornithological, Phase 1, UK Habitat, NVC and Protected Species Surveys, written Ecological and Environmental Impact Assessments, Habitat Managememt Plans. I am proficient at using ArcGIS mapping software. I have designed terrestrial and freshwater monitoring projects and delivered my results in extensive scientific reports. In the last four years I have regularly carried out Breeding Bird, and Vantage point surveys as a professional ornithologist and BTO volunteer. I have experience in butterfly, freswater invertebrate and Great Crested Newt surveys. As a volunteer I have contributed to the work of The Forth River Trust, The Woodland Trust,the RSPB and The Butterfly Conservation Trust. I intend to proactively using my diverse skillset to address and mitigate environmental issues, and make the world a liveable, better place for people and wildlife.
