About Teppo Toivonen

My career has taken me from sw development to project management and onwards to solution architecture design and eventually E2E system responsibility as Solution Owner Currently working as Solution Owner at KONE Corporation for a system that is responsible for equipment traceability and documentation. As KONE is a company with multiple frontlines, factories and global supplier network this is a complex landscape and requires understanding of many key business areas, processes and systems on global scale.(product data management, product configuration and engineering, supply line manufacturing and order process, delivery and installation etc.) I did the original system design, worked as the project manager through the IT development phase and now continuing on that road as a Solution Owner. All my career experiences have been with high-availability / high volume / global systems and I have participated in several projects across the globe in different roles. I have learned extremely global way of working and have worked with different projects for example in China, South Korea, India, US, Mexico, Brazil, Hungary, Romania etc. Before KONE I had 10+ years of experience in high volume global MES (manufacturing excecution system)/ supply chain area as both developer and project manager at Nokia and Microsoft. I have experience with database, middleware and client side design / coding / testing and deployment. I have also worked with multiple high-availability system to system integrations between external and internal partners. I'm a strong believer in incremental development, working through proof-of-concept builds and getting feedback and results as early as possible.
