About Tera Jacobsen

I am a recently graduated University student that majored in Psychology and minored in Anthropology. I am an aspiring mental health professional utilizing both my studies and my lived experience to support vulnerable populations, and those struggling with relationships and communication. Populations I strive to work with are folx in the Queer community, neurodivergent folk, and the polyamourous community. I am passionate about supporting people in becoming their best selves by meeting them where they are at, and approach my work with trauma-informed practice. I believe the individual is the expert on themselves, and I approach everything in a holistic and intersectional manner - considering every aspect of the person to see them as a whole. As a student, I pursued leadership and peer education as extra-curriculars. I strive to be an exceptional leader for those around me and lean toward a transformative or coaching style of leadership. I believe meaningful connection, community, and communication are key to any working relationship, and strive to create this experience with everyone around me.
