About Teresa Conover

My background includes over 20 years of extensive experience in purchasing, inventory management, distribution, order flow process and day to day operations in a purchasing environment. I am a buyer for Premier Health in Dayton, Ohio. I am responsible for purchasing nonstock surgical supplies for our group of hospitals. Prior to this position I was a Purchasing Agent for R3Safety where I purchased safety supplies from suppliers such as Kimberly Clark, DuPont and many more. My responsibilities included buying, pricing, analyzing profitability, monitoring deliveries, reviewing and analyzing reports to identify and react to business conditions. I also developed sales and inventory plans to include stock to sales ratio and turns. Responsibilites also included all vendor issues including on time deliveries and returns on the lines I was responsible for. Previous to R3Safety, I was a Merchandise Manager and Buyer for the Marine Corps Exchange. There I was responsible for all of the above and more. This was a retail environment where I was responsible for buying, six month plans, sales, advertising, monitoring deliveries, instore promotions, profitability, and some training at the store level. My departments included everything from apparel and cosmetics to military uniforms and Gatorade. At Elder Beerman I was a buyer for ladies apparel. I was responsible for the profitability for those departments in 54 stores. I travelled to New York about 10 times per year to shop the market for emerging trends and items. With that information I determined what the assortment for all stores was going to be and decided advertised items as well as provided in store training. I also have strong computer proficiencies in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and some Power Point. I have experience on AS 400, Infor(Lawson) and some SAP experience as well.
