About Teri Dawe

I am currently registered in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Program at Yorkville University. I graduated from the Early Education Alternate Delivery Program from Cambrian College in December 2013. I also hold a 3 year Bachelor’s Degree from Laurentian University with a major in History and minors in Psychology and Sociology. I have been working in the child welfare sector since December 2017 as a Child Well Being Worker. I have 5 years’ experience working in the childcare field. I am currently upgrading my education in hopes to become a counsellor and psychotherapist. My skills include the ability to work with contentious situations, resolving conflict, time management, ability to work in larger groups or independently, problem solving, computer skills with respect to documentation and an understanding of and respect for confidentiality. I also have experience working with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. I am a strong believer in education as well professional development. I have committed a lot of my personal time to my professional development.
