About Teri Milner

I love working in an environment where I can take my 25+ years’ experience in Operations Management and Finance, and help a company grow. My organizational skills, accounting expertise, training in adult learning principles and customer service, along with a very strong background in computers, computer networking, office machinery and software programs have allowed me to extrapolate my work experience in a number of disparate industries. While in my last position as Covenants Administrator for an active 55+ adult community, I have managed the inspection process to completion, for the first time in the 12 year history of the community, and have created process and procedure manuals to allow future position holders to take up the responsibilities of inspection, committee support and reporting quickly and efficiently. As Area Operations Support Manager for The UPS Store Area Office in Northern VA, I trained and supported franchisees in running their own business, helping to grow the company from 17 stores to over 40 in 7 years. As the Full Charge Bookkeeper for a large family law practice in San Diego, CA, I was able to take a firm that had little cash reserves, and through fiscal management of expenses was able to build up a 12 month reserve to allow the company to expand and grow from 4 attorneys to 8, in just 2 years. While working with a federally funded non-profit group in East San Diego County, I was able to save the federal grant they were in jeopardy of losing, due to poor accounting management practice. By using standard accounting practices, and reporting management to the federal agency, I was able to secure a 3 year extension of the original 5 year grant, for a total of $8 million dollars over the 8 years.
