Experienced Healthcare Professional | Registered Nurse | Healthcare Quality Specialist With over 20 years of experience in healthcare across Ontario, I am a dedicated Healthcare Professional and Registered Nurse with a strong focus on Infection Prevention and Control in healthcare quality, patient safety, risk management, and guideline development. My career has spanned various roles in infection prevention and control, occupational health nursing, and adult education, as well as the development of evidence-based guidelines at the federal government level. I am passionate about creating and implementing strategies that enhance patient outcomes, optimize care delivery, and mitigate risks in order to foster safe healthcare environments. I hold a Bachelor of Nursing from Memorial University of Newfoundland, a Master’s in Healthcare Quality from Queen's University as well as a Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) from UBC. I am also CIC (Certified in Infection Control) certified. Throughout my career, I have contributed to the development of national healthcare guidelines, driven continuous quality improvement initiatives, championed patient safety, and implemented risk management practices that empower healthcare teams to provide exceptional care and prevent harm.
