About Tero Katajanheimo

I currently work as a Chief Architect at AktiaDuetto. During my career my responsibilities has varied from development, systems analysis, project management, architecture to management and co-ordination of the development-team. I have worked tightly on critical and complex projects in financial industries such as Aktia core banking replacement, Evli banking system replacement and real time clearing and settlement system. I am proactive, experienced chief / solution architect and developer with a track record of delivery quality solutions in the IT- and financial industries. I have a wide experience and knowledge with Java/J2EE, application servers, databases and integration technologies which have been collected from several challenging and demanding software development projects since year 1997. At the moment I am working with real time instant payment engine implementation. Instant payment is credit transfer in EUR that is processed within a few hundred milliseconds including end-to-end validation, fraud analysis etc. The solution must meet very mission-critical applications requirements of financial sector such as security, scalability, high availability (24x7x365). From technology point of view, I am working with Enterprise Architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins (CI/CD), Message queues, Java Microservices etc.
