A person of OPEX has a positive impact on others, and when others excel - that positive impact, that excellence, affects everyone. Striving for the best and learning from others is only some of what drives me. Problem solving and finding solutions that meet everyone’s needs are also large parts of who I am and what makes me so dedicated to achieve success for all partners in any endeavor where I am involved. During my twenty-five plus years in the manufacturing industry, I have been surrounded throughout my career by people of excellence and have grown exponentially from these workplace experiences. As I look ahead, I know that all roads I have taken, both the main and the backroads, have led me to my new position and the exciting opportunity to be the Director of Operational Excellence for TexTrail Industries. This new position involves both working from home and traveling to multiple sites throughout the United States and Canada. As someone who enjoys both being home at night with my family and the chance to travel and meet new people, this is a perfect fit for me. Using Lean principles, I will develop and lead improvement projects to increase operational efficiency while also giving on-site assistance so all contributors can be a part of the process and help understand and grow any and all on-going refinements which are put in place for excellence, efficiency, and safety in all distribution processes. Outside of work, I am definitely a family man. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have been married for over thirty years. We are blessed with three children who share our passion for travel, board games, and great pizza & movie nights. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s riding four wheelers or going on short hikes with our brindle boxer, Molly. Downtime for me is rare, as I do not ever want to waste a minute of possibilities. My energy to explore new things, accept new challenges, and to see what’s around the next bend have also helped me achieve professional success when given a project and asked that inevitable question…what if?
