Hi, I'm Terrell, an accomplished public servant with a wealth of knowledge in developing and implementing strategic plans to investigate and address incidents of crime. I'm also a strategic detective experienced in investigating issues relevant to union & labor relations and in supporting lawyers through preparation for trials. In addition, I'm a security specialist practiced in assessing school environments and devising strategies to improve safety for students and faculty. I find this work fulfilling and take pride in offering these necessary and much needed services.I am a retired Police sergeant of the Newark Police Department; where my duties were the fulfillment of departmental shift mandates. I have also supervised the precinct desk, where I directed and monitored the execution of departmental reports for compliance with departmental, city, state and national standards. In addition, I tracked and accounted for the precinct's equipment and fielded & documented civilian complaints, collecting information pertinent to a thorough investigation. As a detective of labor relations, I served as a Vice President, assisting the president in overseeing the daily operation of New Jersey's second largest law enforcement local union with over 1,800 members. I collaborated with department lawyers to review, prepare and present cases for police trials. Furthermore, I responded to major incidents to insure that officers rights were protected and protocol was being followed. Finally, I investigated pension and personnel matters for the members.I'm also proud of the work I completed as a School Resource Liaison, I served as the link between the police department and Newark Public Schools in the West District Precinct area, providing them with resources and being a source of knowledge to address safety and school law related issues.All that said, I attribute my career success to the simple fact that I love what I do.
