About Terrell Heatherly

I have just over 20 years experience in the landscape and horticulture industry. During this time I have attained an Associates Degree in Horticulture. Working to beautify homes and businesses across western North Carolina has been both rewarding and educational. I've acquired many skills during this time, many of which I had never considered when I started my first landscaping job at 15. I've become well acquainted with plant varieties as well as installing and maintaining landscapes. I have learned the importance of listening and relationship building with customers in order to bring their ideas into fruition around their homes and businesses. Having the privilege to employ many workers over the past 9 years has also allowed me to see the landscape profession from both the employee and employer perspectives. Leadership is something that has been cultivated in this time as well. It has become clear to me that no business can run effectively without purpose. It is pleasing to be able to set parameters, times and dates and adhere to these. Working in a setting close to mother nature and people isn't always easy to navigate. I've learned to overcome obstacles to get the job done. This often requires one to look through a new lens and think outside the box. This is an area I feel I have grown tremendously and have learned to excel. These skills I will carry with me and utilize.
