About Terri Brincko

I believe in thinking positive and being positive. Social work is my passion and intend to make a positive impact on others. I am a Licensed Social Worker with my Bachelor and Master of Social Work degrees from Youngstown State. I work at Area Agency on Aging where I love assisting older adults in maintaining independence as long as possible by connecting them with services that help them age in place. I appreciate opportunities that force me to step out of my comfort zone. I'm always willing to accept educational and leadership opportunities to assist me in the growth of my profession. One position that has added to my professional growth was a graduate assistantship with the department of social work while working on my mater's degree in social work. I coauthored an article published in the journal of Housing, Care, and Support during this assistantship. I also ran for the MSW student representative position on the board of directors for the Ohio chapter of the National Association of Social Workers against four other impressive students which I proudly won. Gerontological, medical, and hospice social work, and palliative care are the areas that interest me most, but I am always open to explore any area to make a person's life better. Macro social work is an area of interest to me. As a social worker, I understand the importance of networking and collaborating with other professionals and resources. I'm always interested in working with others and gladly accept challenging opportunities.
