I have worked in payroll since 1998 and received my Ceritified Payroll Professional cerficate in 2005. I began my carrer in 1998 for a small accounting firm where I picked up the basics of calculating a payroll check. After a couple years, I moved to Argosy Gaming Company. There I expanded my payroll knowledge substantially. I became more involved with Union payrolls and the accounting side of payroll.I received my Bachelor's of Accounting degree in 2006 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and shortly moved to Peabody Investments as an Accountant in the payroll department.I was put on the SAP implementation project, and was the payroll liason for the configuration team during the year long set up and go-live. These skills allowed me to become the main Payroll system contact for our regional payroll/HR and accounting employees. I continue to work directly with the IT team to maintain the payroll system and handle any changes, upgrades, testing and reporting that is required.
