About Terri Ella

I fell in love with storytelling in a dark room at school splicing VHS tapes together on an ancient analogue desk. With a keen eye for design, ear for music and love for cinematography, I have run, researched, written, shot, directed, edited and produced documentaries, commercial theatre, digital campaigns, interactive brand experiences and branded content for diverse clients Unilever, Samsung Business, Suzuki, Adcock Ingram, Mastercard, MTN, Gautrain, Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator and the Gauteng Provincial Government. Over the past 18 years I have collaborated with agencies and conceptualised projects directly for brands. Developing emotive, multi-platform, integrated messaging with heart is my particular flavour. I love figuring the best way to tell a story be it through film, radio, theatre or live experience. In our digital world, I still hold onto a bit of analogue because nothing beats the exhilaration of an authentic, direct encounter with an audience. I am technically-minded and conceptually sharp, detail-oriented and a team player. Generating ideas and seeing the creative process through from concept to completion with all its moving parts is one of my greatest pleasures.
