My research interests are to study tumor heterogeneity, epigenetics, and molecular epidemiology in order to make discoveries that translate to the clinic. I aspire to make significant contributions to cancer research by improving therapies for untreatable cancers and utilizing bioinformatics and epidemiological studies to address health disparities in cancer. As a physician, I intend to participate in programs aimed at diminishing health disparities in cancer and providing quality healthcare to individuals from low socioeconomic status. I am also interested in exploring cancer risk reduction in the context of regenerative medicine, in hopes of slowing the aging process, while still keeping cancer-eliminating pathways active.
