About Terri Miller

I love to do puzzles and I think that is one of the reasons that I enjoy architecture and the process of building so much. I find it interesting to take a set of puzzle pieces, the spacial requirements outlined by the client and fit them together or assembling the puzzle into the clients 'final puzzle', on a site, in a building or within their office. All the while making that puzzle into something that is not only functional, but visually impacting as well. I have always thought restorations take that puzzle one step further, there are a lot more parameters and rules that one has to abide by, and when construction actually starts, all bets are off because you just never know what you are going to find when you open a building up, that is when it gets really fun! I also have found that I enjoy project management a great deal, everything from generating estimates, working with consultants, writing specifications, handling all of the paper work, permitting, bidding and the actual construction process. That is where the true problem solving begins because it is real life and there are not grand erasers when you are dealing with a wall that is already standing.
