About Terri Morrissey

I am a highly competent organisation development & coaching professional working with Chief Executives, Boards of Directors and Senior Executives on organisation, leadership and culture transformation. I have a background in business psychology with extensive experience with blue chip companies across all sectors; and I am also an experienced Chief Executive Officer. I co-founded This Is. in 2004, specialising in organisation development. Clients have included Irish Distillers/Pernod Ricard; Dublin Airport Authority; Treasury Holdings; London Heathrow Airport and the Public Sector. I took time out to take on the role of Chief executive Officer of the Psychological Society of Ireland (2015-2019). Now back as Director with This is. I am specialising in leading in uncertain times; coaching for women and emergent leaders; innovation and entrepreneurial leadership and thought leadership with CEO's and Boards. I co-facilitated the Global Summit on Psychology & Climate Change attended by the leaders of 44 Psychological Societies in Lisbon (November 2019) and the second Summit in Bogota, Columbia (June 2022), with increased membership of over 80 global associations. I was awarded a Presidential citation by the American Psychological Association President, Dr Frank Worrell, for my work in leading and advancing global psychology (June 2022). I also lecturer in the Centre for Innovative Human Systems in the Psychology Department of Trinity College Dublin where I focus on Risk Management, Leadership and Mental Toughness. My previous roles include Partner in Emerge Consulting where I worked with blue chip clients on culture change and leadership development; faculty member, Michael Smurfit School of Business, teaching MBA students; coach with the London Business School; and various senior management positions in the UK and Ireland. My preferred style of working is to combine challenge with support and in building long term collaborative and partnership relationships with clients. I am not afraid to responsibly disrupt to bring about shifts in mindset and organisation change that are meaningful and long lasting. I have authored numerous papers, columns and talks. My latest book co -authored with Richard Plenty “Uncertainty Rules?" was published in April 2020. I have a degree in Psychology from University College Dublin; and MBA from Fordham University New York (Dean's Award for Excellence); and First Class Honours (top of class) Diploma in Business & Executive Coaching from the Michael Smurfit School of Business, Dublin.
