About Terrill Garrison

Terrill L. Garrison, Jr. is a recently retired Senior Accounting Policy Analyst in the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System's Division of Banking Supervision and Regulation possessing over 35 years of accounting, policy, and banking experience on both the domestic and international levels. Over his extensive career, he was responsible for developing examiner guidance on the internal audit function at large supervised institutions, monitoring the financial condition of banks and bank holding companies in the Federal Reserve System, as well as monitoring domestic and international proposals, standards, and other developments affecting the banking industry in the areas of accounting, auditing, internal controls, disclosure, and supervisory financial reporting. In addition, Terrill served as co-chair of the Federal Reserve System’s Accounting Communications Network (ACN), a group of accounting and auditing experts from each Federal Reserve Bank. Terrill also served as a member of the Basel Committee’s Accounting Experts Group’s Audit Subgroup where he was extensively involved in revising and clarifying international auditing standards, and participating in the development of published consultative papers on the relationship between bank supervisors and both internal and external auditors.
