About Terrill Martin

I have been employed by Valero St. Charles refinery since 2014, and I am a lead health and safety specialist in the safety department. I currently hold a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification. In the summer of 2025, I will graduate with my master's degree in engineering in advanced safety engineering and management from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). My role consists of working with a team of safety professionals at our facility. I am an active member, leader, and captain for our emergency response team. I am trained in Industrial firefighting, confined space and high angle rescue technician, emergency medical responder, hazardous materials technician, and trained in the National Incident Management Systems. I am the site's radiation safety officer and a competent person in trenching and excavation. As an elected secretary and active member with a local Toastmaster's club, I have honed my public speaking skills to a new level.
