About Terry Bennett

I believe in the possibility for all students to realize their individual full academic, social and future career potential regardless of their social economic status, ethnicity, the disability they may experience, gender and gender identity, or sexual orientation. We have a great moral imperative as educators to ensure that all of our students are included everyday alongside each other in our classrooms; as students are peers in our schools so they are in our communities and they never should be excluded because they are part of an underrepresented population. I believe that education is the great equalizer and the neighborhood school at every level is the hub of that community. As a transformative leader I have learned that through authentic professional mentoring relationships are students feel the connection to an adult that will motivate support and guide them to their potential. It is these relationships that are so necessary throughout PK-20 system that will help end the needless violence we experience in our schools and on our campuses.
