About Terry Cross

Terry is a seasoned professional with over twenty-five years of agency and corporate experience in the development and implementation of security management, operations, information technology, and telecommunications, project and program management. He is currently one of twelve Supervisory Transportation Security Inspectors for the Surface Program. This regulatory program under the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration, Office of Compliance, Surface Branch, at Miami International Airport. He has opened and trained Surface Inspectors throughout the Southeastern, and South Central United States. Earlier, Terry was an Information Technology Project Manager at JP Morgan Chase – Etech Division. There, he directed the technical merger of three technical support centers and reduced inefficiencies throughout the center, while providing additional training opportunities, to improve technical support staff, and the overall support operation. Terry served as an Information Technology Project Coordinator between Texaco Star Enterprise – Equiva Services, and Shell Services International. There, he managed a team that performed the transfer of a technical support center into the Shell Enterprise Network and provided training to technical support engineers to incorporate the two systems into one seamless system. Terry also worked at Texas Instrument, Compaq Computers, and MCI as Technical Analyst, and Trainer. He performed process improvement, change management, telecommunications, network management, technical support, and Quality improvement. He also has security experience in Adult and Juvenile Probation as he interned during his education at the University of Houston, where he graduated with a degree in Psychology.
