About Terry Ferrill

Public safety and emergency management professional with over a decade of experience in physical security, crisis response, and safety operations. I bring a proven track record of leading and training teams, optimizing security infrastructure, and collaborating with law enforcement and community stakeholders to protect people, property, and public institutions. My background includes expertise in access control systems (Lenel, intrusion alarms), video surveillance (XProtect Smart Client), and fire/life safety systems (Silent Knight). I’ve served as a Field Training Officer, supervised teams, developed policies and SOPs, and responded to after-hours alarms, including fire and burglary events. Certified in CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design), FEMA ICS, Mental Health First Aid, Stop-The-Bleed (Instructor), and more. I hold a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Purdue University Global and an associate degree in the same field. I'm also a certified DPSST Executive Manager and Armed/Unarmed Security Professional. Currently exploring opportunities in school safety, emergency management, physical security consulting, or leadership roles where I can contribute to safer, more resilient environments.
