About Terry Maxwell

I am in my final year at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The interworking of governments and how nations communicate and work with one another have always interested me, allowing for political science to be the perfect choice of major. I am currently working for the Federal Government within Indigenous Services Canada. I was brought on as a casual working in a Clerical and Regulatory (CR-04) position. I also have experience as a student program officer in Service Canada, working with New Horizons for Seniors and Canada Summer Jobs. My current employment has developed my skills in teamwork, communication and critical thinking; with projects and tasks consisting of working with others along with shadowing more experienced peers and allowing me to provide guidance to others. Many tasks will challenge me with intricate and unique issues that require great attention to detail and second opinions from my peers, creating collaborative environments. I want to create a positive change in the public service. And with continuing to work on different teams within Service Canada and Indigenous Services Canada, I am laying a strong foundation for myself to follow my goals and create new ones.
