About Terry Porter

I have 30+ years’ experience in Business Applications Solutions. What I love to do is to solve problems. I love the challenge of findings ways to improve a business process through a combination of business process change and/or a systems solution. I have strong project management and communication skills. I am able to communicate effectively with the business side as well as the development team. While I do manage development teams I am very much a ‘hands on’ manager. I typically no longer get involved with direct coding, but I do stay involved at a technical level through other means such as code reviews and the use of SQL to assist with testing and troubleshooting. My technical background gives me an understanding of sound coding principles and database design all of which helps me to be effective with system design. My recent experience has been with the integration of manufacturing systems with Oracle. This multi-year project has given me valuable experience with Oracle WIP, Inventory, Bills/Routes, and ASCP. I am always interested in new challenges and opportunities to do new things and would be willing to consider a change should the situation be right.
