About Terry Purcell

As a Quality Assurance Principal, I have historically supported large and complex programs across Lines of Business, coaching resources on Project management and process improvements. The past several years participating on an Agile Release Train serving at the Train level as “Shared Services” and "Release Train Engineer”. Recently coaching teams in Scrum and SAFe as we migrate additional waterfall teams to Agile. Self-expanded the Principal role to include Continuous Improvement subgroup to identify key Lessons Learned, identify root cause and develop short- and long-term process improvements. This expanded to supporting a Community of Practice for AMS TechQA organization. Often called late into programs under crisis with short lead time to resolve issues and establish communication chains to keep all levels informed of progress, issues and risks. Quickly able to establish effective team dynamics and build ongoing relationships across stakeholders. Experience in Waterfall and Agile methodologies allows me to quickly adapt to teams needs and provide guidance where necessary. I enjoy coaching and mentoring our team and often called upon from outside of the QA organization to help others with tooling standards and more recently to share experience and lessons learned from participation on a DevOps Agile Release Train.
