About Terry Thompson

Graduated cum laude from Northern Michigan University with a BS degree in Medical Technology in 1986 and over the years supplemented my education with many business and marketing courses from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, University of Michigan Business School, Notre Dame University, Kotler Marketing Group, Braun Consulting, Northwestern University, and others. From 1986-1992, I worked as a Technologist and Laboratory Manager. In 1992, I was hired by Baxter Healthcare Diagnostics (later known as Dade International, Dade Behring Inc, and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics) where I rapidly advanced holding positions as Customer Service Technical Specialist, Senior Specialist, Customer Training Manager, Associate Product Manager, Product Manager, Marketing Manager, and Associate Director of Marketing. I managed growth in product lines with annual sales of over $0.5 billion and managed annual operating budgets up to $0.5 million. In addition, I managed projects with budgets up to $2 million dollars, was responsible for website redesigns, and implementation of digital marketing. While living in Delaware, I voluntarily served as Town Commissioner and Planning Commission Chairman for the Town of Bellefonte. I was the primary author of the Town Bellefonte Comprehensive Plan, numerous ordinances, and resolutions. I worked with numerous county, state, and U.S. government officials. Before moving to Florida, I was recognized by the Town for my efforts in stabilizing the Town's financial and legal status, as well as its plan for future growth. In 2009, I purchased Webtivity Design Solutions, a website design company. Given my marketing background, I expanded services to include traditional and digital marketing tripling the company's revenue. I became active in the community volunteering on Manatee Chamber of Commerce and Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber committees, Grand Central District Association Board of Directors, and Come Out St Pete Board of Directors.
