About Tess Downer

Graduated from Colorado State University in 2012 with a degree in Political Science and Minor in Spanish. Joined the AmeriCorps Program in Larimer County and was placed at The Matthews House in Fort Collins, Colorado where I served as a volunteer coordinator. As a nonprofit volunteer program coordinator and AmeriCorps Member I gained extensive experience in volunteer management, event planning, major gifts coordination, and supervision of other staff. Currently working at the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center in Denver, Colorado as Development Assistant. As a Development Assistant I am an integral part of a two-person development team, handling all record keeping, correspondence with donors, coordination of events, and creation of marketing materials. I possess the administrative and organizational skills to develop, implement, and maintain programs as well as the interpersonal skills to interact with staff, volunteers, and community members in a positive manner.
